01

Assets and inventory are not the same problem.

An asset may need a named custodian, maintenance history and a return or disposal process. Inventory may need quantities, units, locations, batches and stock adjustments. We define the model before designing screens or choosing scanning technology.

02

Follow the movement.

A scoped workflow can connect receiving, inspection, storage, transfer, picking, dispatch and returns. Each movement carries the relevant item, source, destination, user, time and evidence.

03

Handle the mismatch.

An unexpected item, disputed quantity or missing acknowledgement should create a reviewable exception. Reconciliation and correction need their own history rather than silently overwriting the original record.

04

Choose capture methods that fit the site.

Manual entry, mobile capture, barcode, QR and RFID have different requirements. Device support, labels, connectivity, reading conditions and operating procedures are assessed before hardware commitments.

05

Make stock and custody visible.

Views may include available stock, pending movements, assigned assets, overdue returns and unresolved discrepancies. Definitions and refresh expectations are agreed so the view reflects the process it supports.

Can existing inventory data be imported? We assess identifiers, units, duplicates and opening balances before agreeing a migration.

Does the price include scanners or RFID equipment? Hardware and installation are included only when explicitly listed in scope.
