AI-assisted operations

Put AI inside a workflow people can trust and review.

Use document extraction, classification, summarization and selected agent tools where they help people handle operational work. Xyloquent designs AI assistance alongside business rules, authorized access and human decisions.

STEP 01 / 08

Bound the task

01

Begin with the task, not the model.

What information needs to be extracted? Which classification changes the next step? What happens when the model is uncertain or wrong? Those questions define a useful scope more clearly than a model name.

02

Possible applications.

Extract fields from submitted documents; classify incoming requests; summarize a case history; compare proposed values with reference data; prepare a draft response; or help an authorized user find the status and evidence behind a case.

These are capabilities to scope and validate, not promises of universal accuracy or unattended processing.

03

Separate facts, suggestions and decisions.

The interface should show source evidence, rule checks and AI suggestions distinctly. Critical values can be checked against deterministic rules or sent to a reviewer. An AI suggestion does not automatically become an approved business action.

04

Choose the permitted data path.

Local, private and external model services have different implications. We assess the sensitivity of the data, permitted processing locations, model quality, compute, licensing and ongoing cost before recommending an approach. Local hosting alone is not a complete security design.

05

Test representative cases.

Evaluation should include normal inputs, incomplete documents, ambiguous cases and examples that should be rejected or escalated. Acceptance depends on the task and consequences, not a generic benchmark or an invented confidence percentage.

06

Extend into agent access where useful.

Selected APIs or MCP tools can help an authorized assistant retrieve information or prepare an action. Read access and write authority are scoped separately. Sensitive updates require explicit permissions and, where defined, human approval.

Can AI approve everything automatically? That is not our default design. The business owner must define which decisions can be automated and how errors are detected and handled.

Will this make the process fully autonomous? Not necessarily. A focused assistive step may deliver value without removing human accountability.
